How To Repair A Self Priming Pump

1. Check if the pump body and pulley are worn or damaged, and replace them if necessary. Check whether the shaft of the new self suction pump is bent, the wear of the shaft neck, and whether the threads at the shaft end are damaged. Check if the blades on the impeller are damaged and if the shaft holes are severely worn. Check the wear of the water seal and bakelite gasket. If it exceeds the limit of use, please replace it with a new one. Check the wear of the bearings. Please use an instrument to measure the bearing clearance. If it exceeds 0.10mm, please replace the bearing with a new one.
2. After removing the self priming pump, it can be disassembled in sequence. After disassembly, the parts should be cleaned and checked one by one for cracks, damage, wear and other defects. If there are serious defects, they should be replaced.
3. If the water seal is worn out and grooved, it can be smoothed out with sandcloth. If the wear is too heavy, it should be replaced; If the water seal seat is rough or has scratches, it can be repaired with a flat knife or on a lathe. During maintenance, replace with new water seal components.
4. Check if the bearings of the self priming pump rotate flexibly or if there are any abnormal sounds. If there is a problem with the bearing, it should be replaced.
5. After the assembly of the new self priming pump is completed, it should be rotated by hand, and the pump shaft should not be stuck, and there should be no friction between the impeller and the pump casing. Then check the displacement of the pump. If there are any issues, check the cause and eliminate it.
