The Technical Requirements For Self Priming Pumps Before Installation Are Crucial
Jan 24, 2024
1. Before installing a self priming pump, it is necessary to confirm that the length and height of the inlet pipeline cannot exceed the allowable suction range of the self priming pump.
2. The imported pipeline must not have any air leakage, and it should be ensured to be a fully sealed pipeline. Even small holes with needle holes will affect the self suction capacity of the self suction pump.
3. When installing a self priming pump, it is not advisable to be cheap. Some users directly place the wooden base of the factory fixed self priming pump and the self priming pump on the ground when using a newly purchased self priming pump. This practice is not advisable, as it can easily cause vibration and noise in the self priming pump, leading to mechanical failure. The correct method is to fix the pump base on a solid and flat platform or hard ground.
4. When installing a self priming pump, it is best not to fix it on a bracket welded with channel steel, because the contact surface between the channel steel and the pump is too small. When tightening the base screws, a large part of the pump base is suspended, which can easily damage the concentricity of the base and coupling. Therefore, self priming pumps installed on channel steel brackets are prone to vibration and coupling damage.
